For puppies up to 7 months

 Bring your puppy for the crucial early learning and exposure that every pup needs. This enjoyable class will include play with other puppies, puppy handling, socialization experiences, information for owners and answers to questions. Age appropriate vaccinations required. 

Monday, Dec. 9th at 6:45 to 7:45 pm. Fee $30. 

Focusing on basic skills, this foundational class teaches basic good manners and obedience including name recognition, sit, down, come, stay, stand, loose leash walking and more. In four fast moving sessions, you will work with your dog to learn and master these important skills.

The Gold Standard of Dog Training 
The American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen program promotes good manners for dogs and responsible pet ownership. The AKC states that CGC is the first step toward Therapy Dog. Dogs should have basic obedience skills and not be aggressive around other dogs and people.

Five sessions provide skills training to prepare you and your dog for the evaluation in the 6th session. You'll get personal coaching and tips for success. Teams that pass the test can get an AKC certificate and title.

Walking on a loose leash
Walking through a crowd 
Sit, down, and stay

Reaction to another dog

Saturdays, 3:45 to 4:45 on Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23, Dec. 7 & 14. Fee: $150

Learn specific dog and handler skills to prepare you for Therapy Dog evaluation. The course will review obedience skills and teach handling skills, dog body language, teamwork and communication. Dogs are expected to be friendly to strangers, not aggressive toward dogs and people, have basic obedience skills and current vaccinations. Required reading: On Talking Terms with Dogs, about 70 pages including pictures. We'll have this classic book at a discount at the first class.
Saturdays, 3:45 TO 4:45, Jan. 11, 18,25 and Feb. 1, 2019.  Fee: $125 

In two enjoyable and stimulating sessions, we will lead you through a variety of easy to learn, novice level tricks. You'll be surprised by what your dog will learn. Dogs enjoy and benefit from brain training and bonding with you.
Your dog can earn an AKC title for performing 10 tricks. Dogs with a CGC certificate need only 5 tricks for the Novice title. All dogs including mixed breeds can earn an AKC title. Or just come to have fun with you dog!

 Our classes have a minimum and maximum number of dogs. We keep classes small for safety and to give individual attention to every dog and owner. Once you enroll in a course, we reserve your space. Please understand that if you cancel less than 5 business days prior to a class, you will not receive a refund.
